Keeping an eye on contamination in processing – making the invisible ➜ visible 👀
Strict purity and contamination control of manufacturing facilities is required under various international standards as well as applicable local regulations ✅
Bacterial or foreign-particle contamination in production equipment can cause serious health issues for consumers and reduce the public’s confidence in the industry.
Independent Integrity Inspection Limited (INDEi) use a combination of indirect and direct inspection methods to prevent contamination throughout the production process. Remote visual inspection (RVI) is one of the inspection methods we can provide to check the condition of processing equipment used in various manufacturing industries. Our video scopes make them ideal inspection tools to access hard-to-reach locations in process pipes, tubes, tanks, and vessels.
With their outstanding image quality, a video scope can be used to check welds for signs of corrosion or monitor locations where microorganism colonies tend to grow.
RVI is a practical contamination prevention tool that can help manufacturers and producers maintain product-line purity to meet good manufacturing practices (GMP) requirements.
Four ways manufacturers can incorporate our video scope examination services into their proactive maintenance:
1️⃣ Validating the Compliance of New Processing Equipment
Before initial operation, new or replacement equipment, production facilities can carry out a baseline inspection to ensure compliance with standards and regulations for welds on pipe bends, elbows, joints, valves and tanks.
Specifically, the colours of heat-affected zones (HAZ) and surface porosity indicate the quality of the welds under examination.
2️⃣ Monitoring Problematic Areas for Residue Buildup
Manufacturing plants need to thoroughly clean and inspect the processing equipment to ensure cleanliness between production runs or batch changes.
A video scope enables our engineers to check key locations for residue buildup or corrosion and to monitor potential locations of micro-organism growth.
3️⃣ Checking walls of pipework and vessels for corrosion
During periodic plant maintenance, we can check and monitor any deterioration of processing equipment, such as corrosion or erosion.
4️⃣ Documenting inspection images to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
After each visual inspection, a detailed inspection report will be produced to enable our clients to keep records for auditing and validation. All video scope images or videos can be documented as evidence.
